Disneyland Paris 3D in Google Earth
Using the technology of Google Earth has Disneyland Paris a fully interactive three-dimensional view of the Resort launched. During a virtual tour of the Disney parks, the visitor can click through several links directly to the Disneyland Paris website surfing for more information on attractions, shows and hotels. The preparation and planning of a Disney vacation is now a unique experience with Disneyland Paris in 3D!
From today anyone can make in Google Earth a virtual tour through the two theme parks of Disneyland Paris, the 7 Disney Hotels and the Disney Village entertainment district. The launch of the Virtual Resort is part of Mickey 's Magical Year, the festive year round Mickey Mouse that was launched in April and continuing through until March 2010. Following the successful launch of Google Earth for the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida (U.S.) last year, Disneyland Paris is Europe's first theme park that is represented on the platform.

"This collaboration is the first in a series of many technology initiatives, which enable our guests to maximize their vacation in Disneyland Paris' says Philippe Gas, president and CEO of Disneyland Paris. "With just a few clicks, our guests can explore the world of Disneyland and book their holidays while they are discovering what the destination has to offer!"

Brian McClendon, Engineering Director of Google Maps, Google Earth and Sketchup, about the result: "I have seen many beautiful 3D models in Google Earth, but when I saw the new Disneyland Paris, I was really stunned by the huge realistic view of the Resort. The designers of Disney have outdone themselves! They have not only pushed the virtual tourism to a higher level, but also set a new standard for photo-realistic 3D models in Google Earth. "
